Poh Yeang Cherng

DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER | PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Mr Poh Yeang Cherng is Director and Principal Consultant at Kingmaker. He has a Masters of Mass Communication and is a Gallup® Certified Strengths Coach. He has more than 20 years of professional & leadership experience in multinational corporations, non-profit & faith-based organisations.

Yeang Cherng is passionate about designing transformational learning experiences that impact people and communities. He pioneered the Singapore Cyber Wellness movement, and developed a national framework for cyber wellness values and best practices. As lead consultant, he trained multiple commercial entities to promote cyber wellness through public education. In 2006, he set up Singapore’s first Cyber Wellness Centre, developing and validating treatment protocols for pathological video gamers.

Yeang Cherng is the founder of Media Literacy School™. This suite of cyber wellness & media literacy solutions has impacted more than 500,000 Singapore clients in 250 schools in the past 8 years.

Tan Hee Guan

Introduction

CO-FOUNDER

Mr Tan Hee Guan, a PSC scholar, is the co-founder & Principal Consultant at Kingmaker. Hee Guan built his leadership foundation as an officer in the Boys’ Brigade. As a chaplain, he catalysed the birth of more than 10 Boys' & Girls' Brigade companies. He also conducted leadership development for more than 3000 university scholars between 2003 to 2009, specialising in cultural transformation on university campuses.

Hee Guan is especially passionate about using strengths to train leaders & build teams for peak performance. He consults extensively with school and business leaders to establish initiatives and structures to develop potential. Hee Guan also pioneers strengths-intervention programmes for Parent-Teens and married couples.

Mr Loh Wen Wei is a highly engaging speaker and trainer, well-recognised in local and international schools for being able to engage participants creatively and a genuine, ground-up approach. He is an expert in coaching youths and regularly leads character and leadership trainings. He was the Master Trainer for the 1st ASEAN Strengths Education Summit in 2016. Wen Wei stands out in his passion to nurture young people and at-risk youth. Wen Wei also excels in the design and conduct of gamified experiential activities to facilitate learning for both youths and professionals.

Chow Kia Meng

Mr Chow Kia Meng is the former Head of Admissions & International Students of Raffles Institution. This wealth of experience includes pioneering and starting up an award-winning Raffles Institution Boarding School. He is an Education honours graduate from Loughborough University, United Kingdom. For more than 30 years, Kia Meng has taught, coached and mentored over thousands of local and international students under his care. He has taught Character and Leadership Education for many years and has trained many generations of youths in leadership training camps.

Victor Seet

Mr Victor Seet is an Executive Coach, Team Coach & Facilitator. He is the World’s 1st and only Gold and Platinum Awarded Gallup Certified CliftonStrengths Coach and a Newfield Certified Coach (NCC). He is passionate about coaching and is committed to gaining personal mastery in this area. Victor brings over 20 years of experience in coaching, leadership development and facilitation work, leading workshops for over 50 Singapore education institutions. In the last 10 years, he has clocked over 1,300 coaching hours, 3,000 hours of facilitation workshops, impacted over 12,000 adults and 16,000 youth.

Benjamin Aw

Mr Benjamin Aw is a highly experienced trainer & senior consultant who have coached more than 30,000 youths and adults since 2009. He is experienced in conducting leadership, career, design thinking, and project management training. He excels particularly in facilitation workshop and is a member of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) since 2017. As a founding member and Secretary-General of the Career Development Association of Singapore (CDAS) since 2018, Benjamin is also involved in coaching many clients for job development and career repositioning.

Ms Wong Yueh Ping is a manager and training consultant at Kingmaker. She is also an accomplished trainer with more than 15 years of corporate experience. Ms Shayln Wong is a programme manager and trainer at Kingmaker. She believes in empowering every individual to lead meaningful lives at their fullest potential. She started her career in Education as a Special Education teacher in 2015. Trained in the field of Autism, she worked with youths and adults of varying Autism profiles in the area of functional and work readiness skills. Many look up to her for her organised and consistent lesson delivery in the classroom.

Having consulted over 80 schools, she helps clients map youth developmental journeys and craft fresh, engaging training strategies for students and educators. With her background in outdoor and leadership training, she excels at building resilience, teamwork, and self-awareness in individuals and groups.
